Oladapo Afolayan put Blackburn Rovers ahead in the 41st minute with a composed finish, setting up a 3-1 win over Millwall.

Finding space in the centre, Afolayan met Sam Morsy's pass and guided a right-footed effort into the middle of the net to break the deadlock.

After the restart, he doubled the lead with a crisp left-footer from outside the box (58.), taking Tom Atcheson's pass and arrowing into the bottom right.

He finished with four attempts, two on target, plus three tackles and five possessions won, blending penalty-area instinct with threat from range and work without the ball.

Because Rovers kept him between the lines and funnelled attacks into those pockets, his movement repeatedly disrupted the Lions' back line and opened lanes for supporting runners.

Rovers visit Portsmouth next. The Lions host West Ham United.
