Gustavo Caballero flipped the game in the 46th minute with a high, right-footed finish, as Portsmouth won 3-1 at Millwall.
After the restart he first drew a sharp save with a drive towards the top corner (46.). Moments later he burst onto a break and rifled into the roof of the net (46.), setting the tone for the visitors.
He stayed dangerous, threading passes between lines and later teed up Adrian Segecic for a shot that was blocked (78.). Caballero kept stretching the back line before being withdrawn (86.).
He finished with three shots on target, three key passes and six recoveries, a blend of incision and graft that underpinned Portsmouth's control after half time.
With space to counter and the Lions' defence retreating, his direct runs from the right repeatedly unbalanced the hosts and allowed Portsmouth to dictate the key phases.
Portsmouth climb from 20th to 19th and visit Wrexham next. The Lions host Birmingham next.
