Josh Fowler opened the scoring in the 16th minute with a composed finish, and St Johnstone beat Kilmarnock 4-3 at McDiarmid Park. The forward later supplied the decisive pass.
Fowler had already stamped control early, darting inside to meet Jamie Gullan's pass and slotting low into the bottom left. The movement gave St Johnstone a platform and forced Kilmarnock to chase.
After the restart he created again, feeding Logan Chalmers for a chance that drew a save as the game swung end to end (63). The forward kept finding pockets between the lines to connect play.
His most telling contribution arrived when he released Kai Fotheringham to tuck away the winner (80). It summed up a display that combined timing with tidy execution in the final third.
He finished with one goal, one assist, two key passes and 10 successful final third passes from 29 touches, underlining how he linked attacks and produced in the moments that mattered.
St Johnstone visit St Mirren next. Kilmarnock host Celtic.
