The spotlight on UEFA Champions League nights is usually reserved for the drama on the pitch, but these occasions also bring plenty of movement behind the scenes. Just like other major clubs, FC Barcelona often use these high-profile matchdays to meet with agents and discuss ongoing matters related to players.
According to SPORT, one such meeting took place in Barcelona last night, with sporting director Deco sitting down for dinner with Andy Bara and Juanma Lopez, the agents of Dani Olmo and Joan Garcia.
The discussions reportedly focused on Olmo’s current situation at the club and Garcia’s recent injury. Earlier in the day, the two representatives had also shared lunch with Olmo, who remains under contract with Barça until 2030.
Club president Joan Laporta did not attend this dinner, as he was engaged in a separate meeting with Barcelona’s head of medical services, Xavier Corbella, and two Argentine doctors at a well-known restaurant in the city.
Olmo’s representatives are expected to be present tonight in the presidential box when Barcelona take on Paris Saint-Germain in a marquee Champions League clash.

The €60 million-rated Spanish midfielder has been steadily growing in importance under Hansi Flick, especially with Fermin Lopez and Gavi sidelined, and is now beginning to see more regular minutes in the starting lineup.
On the sporting side, Olmo recently played the full 90 minutes against Oviedo and featured for the entire second half against Real Sociedad, a sign that his match sharpness is steadily returning. Despite a recent dip in form and fitness concerns, Barcelona still regard him as a central figure in their long-term plans.
With injuries affecting both teams, tonight’s game at Montjuic will test Barcelona’s resilience against the reigning European champions. For Olmo, it represents the perfect stage to prove his value, strengthen his role in Flick’s system, and seize the opportunity to cement a permanent spot in the starting eleven.
