Charlton Athletic 0-0 Queens Park Rangers at The Valley keeps both in the Championship play-off places, with the visitors dropping from second to fourth and the hosts from third to fifth.

Early on, Miles Leaburn twice headed off target from corners as Charlton started fast, before Tariq Lamptey limped off and Dennis Cirkin came on.

In the 40th minute Arthur Okonkwo saved Rumarn Burrell's header after Harvey Vale's cross. The goalkeeper then gathered Paul Smyth's low strike (62.) as Queens Park Rangers carried most of the ball.

After the restart, Jimmy Dunne also departed injured and Jake Clarke-Salter was introduced. The visitors pushed via 39 crosses and 12 corners, but clear chances remained scarce.

The best late opening fell to Ronnie Edwards, who shot over in the third minute of second half stoppage time.

Queens Park Rangers finished with 72.3% possession and 15 attempts. Charlton Athletic did not register a shot on target from nine attempts, with Okonkwo making two saves at the other end.
