Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso this week held a series of sit downs with key members of his squad.

This came amid the mounting claims of unrest in the Blancos dressing room across the Spanish media.

As per a report from El Chiringuito TV’s Edu Aguirre, Alonso organised a series of individual meetings with Real’s stars over the last 48 hours.

During as much, the players in question were afforded the opportunity to air out any grievances they may have had with their manager and his staff.

The gesture was greatly appreciated, with a number of stars now understood to feel much more at ease under Alonso’s watch.

The immediate impact of the exercise was seen online earlier today.
