Michele Di Gregorio has agreed to become a Premier League player as he is set to move to Bournemouth on loan for the rest of this season, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Since the end of last season, Juventus have asked him to find a new home as they prepared to bring in a new number one, and the former Monza man has been looking for a solution.

Although he was in goal for them during pre-season, the Old Lady have signed a new number one, and if he stays, he will not get enough game time, which is not what he wants.

Di Gregorio has not received as much interest as he would have wanted since it became clear that he had to leave Juve, but he is now heading to the Premier League.

Di Gregorio agrees Bournemouth move

The agreement with Juventus gives the Premier League side a €14m buy option, which is not mandatory, giving him the chance to play in England’s top flight for a longer period if Bournemouth decide to make the move permanent.

For Di Gregorio, the transfer offers a chance to regain regular playing time and show what he can do outside Italy. He has already demonstrated his ability in Serie A, particularly during his time at Monza, but his spell at Juventus did not go entirely as planned.

The goalkeeper will now have the chance to start a new chapter with Bournemouth and prove that he can adapt to the demands of English football.

Goalkeeper gets fresh opportunity

Di Gregorio is a fine goalkeeper and has the potential to perform well in the Premier League. Bournemouth are an exciting team that often overperform in the league, so he will have a good opportunity to show that he is better than he appeared to be during his time at Juve.

The move should also benefit Juventus, as they can let Di Gregorio gain valuable experience while retaining the option to receive €14m if Bournemouth decide to sign him permanently.

For now, the Italian goalkeeper can focus on establishing himself in England and securing regular football. After struggling for consistency at Juventus, this move could give him the fresh start he needs to rediscover his best form.
