“Done deal”: Borna Sosa set to join Köln from Crystal Palace

Former VfB Stuttgart left-back Borna Sosa is set to return to the German Bundesliga.

According to Sky Germany, 1. FC Köln have reached an agreement to sign the 28-year-old on loan from Crystal Palace, without an option to buy.

Sosa is now on his way to Germany to undergo his medical, with all parties hoping to finalise the deal before the transfer deadline later on Tuesday.

The Croatian international spent five years at Stuttgart between 2018 and 2023 before joining Ajax.

He moved to Crystal Palace in 2025 for a reported €2.3 million fee.
