Dors, Vicentti lead scoring as U-20 Qualifiers kick off

MIAMI – The 2026 Concacaf U-20 Qualifiers kicked off with Groups A, B, and C starting play on Monday.
Group A
Grenada 2, Saint Martin 1
Grenada earned a 2-1 win against Saint Martin in Group A at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua.
Saint Martin opened the scoring in the 25’ thanks to a goal by Elie Nkpa. Grenada equalized in the 37’ through Ejay George, and turned the game around in the 42’, with Narshon Sylbester striking the match-winner.
Suriname 7, Belize 2
Suriname secured a 7-2 victory against Belize in Group A at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua.
Devin Garbutt started the goal count for Belize in the 4’, with a left-footed shot in the box. Suriname equalized in the 17’ thanks to Xavi Dors. Dors secured a brace in the 24’ to give Suriname the lead.
An own goal by Pixabaj Anderson meant the third for Suriname in the 26’. Dors got a hat trick in the 31’, the fourth for Suriname. Tyrone Linares sent a left-footed shot to the back of the net to score the second for Belize.
Dors kept adding goals to his personal tally, getting the fourth goal for Suriname in the 37’. Pixabaj committed his second own goal of the day in the 77’, the sixth for Suriname.
Jenairo Ligeon got the seventh and final goal for Suriname in the 80’ to wrap up the result.
El Salvador 3, French Guiana 0
El Salvador closed Group A 's first day of activities with a 3-nil win over French Guiana at Estadio Miguel Chocorrón Buitrago in Managua, Nicaragua.
Johann Ortiz started the scoring with a left-footed banger in the 11’. La Selecta doubled its lead in the 41’, thanks to a right-footed shot by Luis Tobar.
The third goal for El Salvador came in the 64’, Tobar again ready in the box to capitalize in Christian Coreas’ second assist of the day.
Group B
Cayman Islands 1, Turks and Caicos Islands 2
Group B kicked off with a 2-1 win for Turks and Caicos Islands over the Cayman Islands at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.
The Cayman Islands took the lead through Ishmael Jones in the 10’. Turks and Caicos Islands pulled one back in the 17’ thanks to a right-footed shot from John Robertson.
Turks and Caicos secured the win in the 83’, as Idelin Gardiner sent a shot from outside the box to the back of the net.
Puerto Rico 2, Saint Kitts and Nevis 1
Puerto Rico secured a 2-1 win over Saint Kitts and Nevis in Group B at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.
Los Boricuas opened the scoring in the 15’ thanks to Isaiah Vicentti. He doubled the lead in the 41’, ready in the area to capitalize on a loose ball.
Saint Kitts and Nevis pulled one back in the 87’ thanks a shot in the box by Erick Riviere.
Jamaica 3, Bonaire 0
Jamaica won 3-nil against Bonaire in Group B at Stadion Rignaal ‘Jean’ Francisca in Willemstad, Curaçao.
Sean Leighton got its first goal in the 25’ with a header in the area. Deshawn Talbert doubled the lead for the Reggae Boyz in the 43’. Raequan Campbell Dennis added a third in the 71’.
Group C
British Virgin Islands 2, Dominica 2
The British Virgin Islands and Dominica played to a 2-2 draw in Group C at Costa Rica Federation Field #1 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
The opening goal came in the 1’ from a Dylan Cline own goal, giving Dominica the lead. Jaadon Quashie pulled one back for the British Virgins Islands in the 10’.
Nicholas Harve gave Dominica the lead once again in the 31’. Rush Broderick tied the game for the British Virgins Islands in the 45’+1’.
Antigua and Barbuda 1, Saint Lucia 0
Antigua and Barbuda took a 1-nil win against Saint Lucia in Group C at Costa Rica Federation Field #1 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
The only goal of the match came in the 35’ thanks to a right foot shot by Brandon Satchel.
