Džeko ‘to undergo’ Schalke medical after Düsseldorf arrival

According to Sky Germany, Edin Džeko is travelling to Gelsenkirchen to finalise matters with Schalke 04.

Schalke and Fiorentina are believed to have reached an agreement earlier this morning.

The 39-year-old is expected to land in Düsseldorf today, Wednesday, 21 January.

A medical examination is scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, 22 January.

The contract will be signed after the checks, and the Royal Blues are not expected to pay a direct transfer fee, only bonus payments.
