Max Eberl has welcomed Uli Hoeness’s public backing for a contract extension, while Bayern president Herbert Hainer says no decision has been made.
According to BuLi News, Hoeness recently said Eberl’s deal would be extended 100 percent. Eberl called the praise encouraging and said he aims to convince the decision-makers. If the board want him to continue, he is ready to talk.
Hainer suggested Hoeness’s remarks reflected satisfaction with the current window. He said Bayern had targeted two areas, a back-up in attack and more pace in defence.
He believes those needs have been met with two very good signings. He added that more than 10 players have been moved on with income generated, and that four weeks remain to find clubs for one or two more.
Hainer underlined that Eberl’s future is a matter for the supervisory board, and noted similar satisfaction with Jan-Christian Dreesen’s work. Bayern have not yet announced whether Eberl’s contract will be extended.
