El Auditorio de Castelló hosts women’s football gala with awards, 3x3 and live music | OneFootball

A week after the Supercopa de España at SkyFi Castalia, where Alexia Putellas lifted the trophy for Barcelona, Castelló stages the Gala del Fútbol Femenino to honour local players and teams.

Originally set for last Thursday, the event was postponed after three days of mourning for the Adamuz rail accident and will now begin at 19:00 at the Auditorio y Palacio de Congresos, according to El Periódico Mediterráneo.

From 17:00, a programme runs on the auditorium esplanade, featuring talks on women’s football that highlight its sustained growth in recent years in Castelló and across Spain.

Young fans have a 3x3 pitch to enjoy their favourite game, with girls and boys able to play short matches.

To round off the day, the group Five will perform live, reflecting the sport’s continued rise.
