Elche star ruled out of Real Oviedo clash | OneFootball

A member of the attacking ranks at Elche has been ruled out of the club’s upcoming meeting with fellow La Liga newcomers Real Oviedo.

The player in question? Álvaro Rodríguez.

Frontman Álvaro, after his summer arrival at Elche, has since gone on to feature in all four of the club’s La Liga fixtures to date.

And the 21-year-old has proven himself an important figure in the Franjiverdes’ undefeated start, notching a pair of assists thus far.

In turn, it will come as a blow for Eder Sarabia and co. to learn of Álvaro being ruled out for the club’s next outing.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘Elche’s Spanish-Uruguayan forward, Álvaro Rodríguez, will be out for the team’s match this Sunday at the Martínez Valero stadium against Real Oviedo due to knee discomfort.’

Elsewhere, fellow Elche summer signing Adrià Pedrosa is also considered a serious doubt to face Oviedo, owing to what is described as ‘discomfort in his toe.’
