Real Sociedad discuss Oso swap with Sevilla, Javi López plus fee on the table | OneFootball

Real Sociedad are pursuing Oso and are in talks with Sevilla over a swap that could include Javi López plus a fee, according to Superdeporte.

Oso made his Sevilla debut in December 2025 at Mestalla against Valencia. His impact earned him a bigger role in a survival push that kept the club in LaLiga.

Planning for next season, Real want the young player from Alicante. Oso is valued at around 10 million euros, and Real have proposed López and roughly 5 million euros. The powerful full-back produced two goals and three assists in 21 matches this season and impressed on loan at Real Oviedo.

López is highly rated by Luís García Plaza, who coached him at Alavés and made him a regular. Should Oso depart, Sevilla would have only Suazo as a natural left-back, so López could help plug the gap.

Sevilla had intended to renew Oso, whose deal runs to June next season, but Real’s offer and the figures sought by his agents have stalled talks. If there is no renewal this summer, selling is seen as the only way to avoid losing him for free at the end of 26-27. The club also need between 20 and 30 million in capital gains before 30 June, with academy sales a quick route.
