According to Sky Germany, Eliesse Ben Seghir could return to Monaco on loan, with talks underway after a difficult start at Bayer Leverkusen.

Leverkusen paid a reported €32 million last summer to sign the attacking midfielder from Monaco.

The 20-year-old has made just 13 appearances across all competitions for Die Werkself without a goal or an assist, and a winter move could now be on the cards.

The mooted deal would take him back to Monaco until the end of the season, offering a chance to regain rhythm in familiar surroundings.

Any agreement will also hinge on his recovery from an ankle injury. Before leaving, Ben Seghir recorded 15 goals and eight assists in 85 Monaco outings.
