Besiktas have announced today the arrival of Ivorian defender Emmanuel Agbadou, from Wolverhampton Wanderers, on a preliminary agreement.

The Ivory Coast international joined the Wolves in January last season from Reims for a fee of around £16.6 million at the request of the then manager of the English club, Vítor Pereira. He has now completed the move to Turkey for a reported £17.5 million – giving the Premier League side a slight profit.

During his time at Wolverhampton, Agbadou made a total of 35 appearances, 32 of which were from the start. His last appearance for the club came last weekend when he played the full 90 minutes in 2-0 home defeat to Bournemouth.
