England v Costa Rica friendly delayed by torrential rain in Orlando

England’s friendly against Costa Rica in Orlando, Florida, was delayed by at least an hour on Wednesday after torrential rain flooded the Inter & Co Stadium pitch.

According to L'Équipe, kick-off would not be at 22:00, with at least a one-hour delay.

The downpour left the surface waterlogged, so conditions are likely to be difficult if and when play starts.

This is England’s final warm-up before the World Cup.

They open against Croatia on 17 June. The match is being shown on L'Équipe.
