The board at Espanyol have already tied up an agreement to bring in a member of the attacking ranks at La Liga rivals Deportivo Alavés.
That’s according to Marca, citing transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who point towards Kike García as the player in question.
Veteran frontman Kike is for his part fresh off an altogether productive campaign on the books of the aforementioned Alavés.
Playing a leading role in the Babazorros avoiding relegation to the 2nd tier of Spanish football, the 35-year-old racked up 15 goals in all competitions.
Such production had long piqued the attentions of a number of other clubs from across the La Liga landscape, in the search for guaranteed goals for the 2025/26 campaign.
And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media on Monday is anything to go by, then one such suitor appear to have gotten their man.
‘The first to arrive will be Kike García. The agreement with the Alavés striker is considered complete and was reportedly reached a few weeks ago.’
