Esposito ‘to join’ Sassuolo as Pinamonti heads to Lazio | OneFootball

Sebastiano Esposito is set to join Sassuolo, as Andrea Pinamonti heads to Lazio.

Sky Sport Italia reports the Neroverdi have agreed personal terms with Esposito and he is scheduled for a Thursday medical before signing.

The deal is a swap of loans with Cagliari, with Riccardo Ciervo travelling the other way to join Fabio Pisacane’s side.

Sassuolo delayed Pinamonti’s exit until a replacement was close, giving the striker permission to travel to Rome only once the Esposito move neared completion. He arrived in the capital on Wednesday for his medical, with the Lazio switch expected to be finalised as a paid loan worth €3m that carries an option to buy.

Esposito came through Inter’s academy and has since had a string of spells, most recently establishing himself at Cagliari.

Separately, TuttoMercatoWeb reports Sassuolo are close to signing Rafik Belghali from Verona, the Algeria wing-back and a long-standing target, with an agreement possible in the coming hours.
