Estádio do Dragão pitch replacement under way after season end

According to O Jogo, the Estádio do Dragão pitch is being replaced following the end of the season in a routine close-season operation.

The natural playing surface is being removed, with synthetic fibres left in place to act as the base.

New grass will be sown over the base in the coming weeks.

The process is relatively simple and quick.

Everything is set to be operational for the first match of the new campaign, the presentation to members in late July.
