Drone footage from CC Overview shows early progress on Leeds United’s Elland Road redevelopment, with fresh work filmed this week.
The club moved quickly after the end of the 2025/26 Premier League season. The long-term plan is to lift capacity to 53,000 by redeveloping the North and West Stands, with completion hoped by 2030.
Work has first focused on the West Stand. Activity has been under way since late May, with a new update recorded on Tuesday 9 June. Portakabins used by visiting teams have gone and the ticket office, partly demolished last month, has now been fully removed.
Around a third of the external structure outside the West Stand has been taken down. The away fans tunnel in the same area has also been demolished.
Behind the North Stand, a temporary building is progressing and is expected to host corporate facilities during the expansion works.
Inside Elland Road, the turf appears to have been stripped ahead of pitch preparation for next season. Around the West Stand technical areas, the dugouts have been removed and a screen installed.
Chairman Paraag Marathe has said the pitch and dugout works will be finished in time for next season, although disruption will continue through the 2026/27 campaign. He added the schedule is designed to avoid sacrificing seats during matches and asked supporters to bear with the club while work progresses.
