Estudiantes confirm home venue for Libertadores semi-final against Flamengo | OneFootball

Estudiantes have confirmed the first leg of the Conmebol Libertadores semi-final against Flamengo will be played at the Estadio Jorge Luis Hirschi, also known as Estadio UNO, in La Plata on 15 October, after an issue over the away end was resolved.

According to Globo.com, the clubs agreed the location of visiting supporters to comply with a Conmebol regulation.

The away allocation will be behind one of the goals in a section with capacity for 6,000. Competition rules mean 4,000 tickets will be available for that section.

The stalemate had persisted because Estudiantes’ regular away area did not meet the minimum capacity required for this stage. The good relationship between the clubs and the quality of the pitch were factors for Flamengo.

Kick-off for the first leg is 21:30 Brasília time. The return is at the Maracanã on 22 October, also at 21:30 Brasília time.
