Estudiantes have confirmed the diagnoses for three players forced off in the Supercopa Internacional final, the club said. Gabriel Neves has a fractured left wrist, Jalil Elías a grade 2 injury to his left hamstring, while Guido Carrillo has no injury.

The update lands 16 days before the Libertadores semi-final first leg against Flamengo, leaving Alexander Medina short in midfield but with his main striker under assessment.

All three went off in the 3-1 loss to Rosario Central on Saturday 26 in Santiago del Estero. Neves left early and tests later confirmed the left wrist break.

He will not face Flamengo in either leg. Elías, who replaced him, also departed and has a grade 2 left hamstring injury, ruling him out against Platense in the Copa Argentina. No return date has been given.

Carrillo asked to come off after an assist, yet scans showed no damage. The club have not specified when he will resume full training.

Defenders Tomás Palacios and Leandro González Pirez are suspended for the semi-final.

Flamengo will also be without Jorginho and Arrascaeta for the first leg, the latter nursing a left wrist fracture from Uruguay duty.

Estudiantes host Flamengo at Estadio UNO on 15 October at 21:30, with the return at the Maracanã on 22 October at 21:30. The winners face Palmeiras or Fluminense on 28 November in Montevideo.
