Europa League draw: OL to face Pierre Sage’s Crystal Palace | OneFootball

OL will cross paths with Pierre Sage, now in charge of Crystal Palace, after the Europa League group-stage draw made at midday on Friday in Monaco.

According to Le Progres, OL, a top seed, will face eight opponents, namely two Belgian sides, one English, one German, one Spanish, one Norwegian and one Polish.

Leverkusen are on the schedule and will visit Groupama Stadium with Afonso Moreira, who left Lyon for Bayer in July for €33.6m. Lyon will also travel to San Sebastian to play Real Sociedad.

They will meet Crystal Palace under Sage, Paulo Fonseca’s predecessor at Lyon. Last season he beat Lyon two of three times with Lens, including on the final day, a defeat that denied OL direct Champions League qualification.

Lyon will travel to Brussels to face Anderlecht and will host Union Saint-Gilloise.

They must also go to Hoffenheim, to Poland to face Jagiellonia Bialystok, and play Norway’s Lillestrom.

UEFA will confirm match days and venues no later than Sunday 30 September.
