Six City stars in latest Lionesses squad | OneFootball

Six Manchester City players have been selected to represent England in October’s 2027 World Cup play-off semi-final against Greece.

Anna Moorhouse, Niamh Charles, Alex Greenwood, Laura Blindkilde Brown, Lauren Hemp and Beth Mead have each been called up by Sarina Wiegman for the two-legged clash.

The European champions travel to Heraklion on Friday 9 October with kick-off set for 17:30 (UK), with the return leg set for Tuesday 13 October.

England take on Greece at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium for that second tie, with the match set to get under way at 19:30.

The Lionesses will face the winners of Slovakia and Ukraine’s two-legged clash in a play-off final in November and December.
