Everton ‘in talks’ to re-sign Jack Grealish as Sunderland link cools | OneFootball

Everton appear to be ahead of Sunderland in the chase for Manchester City winger Jack Grealish, with talks under way and a return to Merseyside preferred, according to Sky Sports.

Fabrizio Romano has said discussions are ongoing between Grealish’s camp and Everton, and that Sunderland are not involved.

Earlier this week, David Ornstein reported that Sunderland had made an approach as they explored a surprise loan move.

Manchester City are keen on Everton forward Iliman Ndiaye and, The Athletic reports, could use Grealish as a makeweight in any potential deal.

Asked about Grealish’s future on Thursday, new City head coach Enzo Maresca said: "Jack is here until the day he is here, it's my duty to try and help him and give us the best. Then we'll see in the next four or five days what happens."
