The Toffees have already brought in Jack Grealish from Man City and could now be closing in on another player from the club.

The reliable Everton insider, followed by Alan Myers, Fabrizio Romano, Jason Burt and Christopher Beesley on social media, reported via X on Wednesday evening that a deal for Ake is on the cards.

The Netherlands international made 20 appearances across all competitions last term and could be open to moving to where he can play more.

The Merseyside club are currently without Jarrad Branthwaite due to an injury, and Moyes needs a replacement following an underwhelming start to the 2025-26 Premier League season.

Everton lost 1-0 to Leeds United on Monday night, and they will be desperate to secure all three points when they host Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

Having Ake available would be a much-needed boost as the Toffees bid to start life at the Hill Dickinson Stadium with a victory.

The 30-year-old brings experience and quality to the table, having made 235 Premier League appearances for Chelsea, Bournemouth, Watford and Man City.

Ake can also feature at left-back, and his versatility would come in handy for Moyes.

Branthwaite and Nathan Patterson have struggled with injuries in recent months, and having someone capable of providing quality cover in their positions will be great for Everton.
