Josef Zinnbauer saw his JS Kabylie side secure an important 2-1 victory over ASO Chlef in the Algerian Ligue 1 on Saturday evening.

Ryad Boudebouz opened the scoring for the Canaries in the 16th minute, but Chlef swiftly responded through Aissa Feddal three minutes later, to make it one-all at the interval.

Zinnbauer's men showed intent to win the match in the second half as Bilel Messaoudi restored the lead in the 51st minute - a goal that was enough to clinch maximum points.

As a result, JSK snapped a six-game winless run across all competitions and climbed to ninth on the Algerian topflight standings with 18 points from 12 league outings.

The victory will slightly ease pressure on the former Orlando Pirates boss, who was appointed in January 2025 to succeed Abdelhak Benchikha.
