Mamadou Sarr is on his way out of Chelsea, and an update tonight says there are talks with interested clubs.

There is limited time left in the summer transfer market, and Chelsea have a lot of work to do. That always meant there was going to be a late flurry, and tonight there is new information on three deals for outgoing players.

First up is Mamadou Sarr.

Sacha Tavolieri, who has good source in Ligue 1, says the Blues have put Mamadou Sarr on the market for sale. Xabi Alonso clearly favours other options, and Sarr is too far down the depth chart to expect minutes. Apparently “discussions are ongoing,” and Sarr “will not accept just any project.”

We’d imagine Chelsea would also be OK with a loan as an impressive season somewhere could boost his value. The smartest move is probably to just sell him back to Strasbourg. They need him, they have money to spend, they are easy to negotiate with. He can captain there before we made the foolish move of returning him to Stamford Bridge in January.

Chelsea bought Sarr for €14m and would certainly be wanting to make a profit on that.
