Cesc Fabregas has a special clause in his Como contract for his former clubs, according to reports.

Portuguese outlet A Bola report that former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas has a special clause in his contract for three of the clubs he previously represented as a player.

According to the claims, Fabregas’ deal with Como 1907 includes a release clause that would allow him to join Barcelona, Arsenal, or Chelsea for a fixed amount, without the need for any negotiations.

Barcelona are reportedly keeping an eye on the possibility, and you’d imagine it’s only a matter of time before Chelsea are changing managers again. Arsenal are perhaps a tougher sell, considering recent reports of an extention for Mikel Arteta.

Gianluca Di Marzio (via Marca) confirms that Fabregas has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave under special ‘very affordable’ conditions, should Barcelona, Arsenal or Chelsea make a move.

Marca add that Fabregas is currently happy at Como, and there’s no suggestion he’s preparing to leave. The manager reportedly rejected several offers to do so over the summer, though none of them were from the three clubs in question.

Assuming none of the three clubs in question make a move for Fabregas, he has a contract with Como until 2028. The midfielder’s only other former club as a senior professional were AS Monaco, but it seems they didn’t make the list.
