According to L'Équipe, Monaco and Frosinone are close to an agreement for Algerian winger Farès Ghedjemis.
Talks have accelerated in recent hours and a deal could be concluded as early as Tuesday. He is in line to be the right-wing addition targeted by head coach Filipe Luis, with Monaco pushing to land the Algeria international, who has two caps.
The clubs are expected to agree a fee of around €10m. Rangers and Celtic submitted €10m offers in recent weeks, which were rejected by the Italian side.
Besiktas entered the race last week with a strong salary proposal and an offer of €9m plus €1m in bonuses, but Ghedjemis has opted for Monaco. The 23-year-old has given his initial approval to a five-year contract with ASM.
Frosinone, newly promoted to Serie A, anticipated his departure after a breakout Serie B season, where he delivered 15 goals and 3 assists in 37 matches to help secure promotion.
After featuring at the World Cup with Algeria, the left-footed inverted winger completed a standard pre-season on his return and played 45 minutes in the Coppa Italia on Sunday against Juve Stabia, providing an assist.
