FC Augsburg end talks with Crystal Palace over Chrislain Matsima

FC Augsburg have told Chrislain Matsima his proposed move to Crystal Palace collapsed at the final stage.

According to Sky Sports, the clubs failed to agree on bonuses and payment structures, with Crystal Palace refusing to compromise. The same report put the last offer at a little over 20 million after bonuses, and added that FC Augsburg now expect no further bids from the Premier League side.

The Frenchman will now travel to FC Augsburgs training camp to join preparations for the new season. The club informed him and his agent of the decision.

Crystal Palace are also dealing with the departure of ex-Wolfsburg centre-back Maxence Lacroix to Chelsea.

Matsima has made 48 Bundesliga appearances for FC Augsburg since arriving from AS Monaco a couple of years ago.
