Chrislain Matsima could stay at Augsburg following the collapse of a proposed Crystal Palace move earlier this summer, with Kicker reporting the centre-back is not actively pushing for a transfer.

A summer exit has not been ruled out, but Augsburg are under no pressure to sell the 24-year-old, who is under contract until 2030.

Matsima joined on loan from AS Monaco in 2024, then completed a permanent switch a year later for a reported €5 million.

The France international has made 53 appearances for the Bundesliga club to date.

For now, signs point towards him remaining beyond the current window, unless a suitable opportunity emerges.
