‘Fearless Nature’ – Rangers Prospect Talked Up By Former Star | OneFootball

Former Rangers star Andy Halliday believes winger Findlay Curtis adds a fearless quality to the Gers attack.

Curtis arrived at the Rangers academy at age six, and after progressing through the youth system, in last campaign he joined fellow Scottish Premiership club Kilmarnock on loan for the second half of the season.

Now back at Rangers, the 20-year-old has made two substitute appearances and recently came off the bench in the Gers’ 2-1 defeat to Jagiellonia Bialystok in the Europa League third qualifying round.

The Gers winger impressed Halliday despite the defeat, as he claimed that the introduction of Curtis and Nicolas Raskin in the second half was a positive move.

The former Rangers star also insisted Curtis adds a fearless quality to the attack with his ability to drive at the opposition, playing one-twos, shots at goal and off-the-ball movement.

Halliday said on BBC Sportsound: “The positives would be the introduction of the half-time subs, Curtis and Raskin in particular.

“Both played with so much enthusiasm.

“Curtis had a fearless nature to try to make a positive impact.

“Not everything came off, but when he gets the ball, he drives at players, he plays one-two, he’s running off the ball and having efforts at goal.

“That alone sparked Rangers into that 5% or 10% more on the ball.”

Now is not the first time Curtis has been praised for his fearless attitude, as back in February, another Rangers star, Alex Rae, shed light on his approach in matches.

Whether Curtis can nail down regular game time over the course of the season is unclear, with the club having just brought in winger Daisuke Yokota and being in the market for another addition.
