Fenerbahçe reach Champions League third qualifying round as Aarhus complete dramatic comeback | OneFootball

The Champions League second qualifying round concluded on Wednesday, highlighted by Fenerbahçe’s progress and a stunning rescue act from Aarhus. According to L'Équipe, the results complete the line-up for the third round.

Fenerbahçe only needed to avoid defeat and secured a 1-1 draw in Zabrze to advance. The club from Türkiye will face Sturm Graz next, continuing their bid after falling in last season’s play-offs.

Elsewhere, Slovan Bratislava, winners in the first leg, finished the job with a 1-1 home draw against Saburtalo. Red Star Belgrade swept past Northern Irish side Larne 5-0 to progress.

Levski Sofia battled to a 2-2 draw away at Craiova and moved through thanks to their first-leg advantage. Kairat Almaty needed penalties to see off Omonia Nicosia, winning 1-0 on the night then 6-5 in the shootout.

Beer-Sheva eased past Reykjavik 2-0 after a draw in the first leg. Kauno Zalgiris beat Klaksvik 1-0 to reach round three, which they should be able to host at home unless Pitbull has a concert booked.

Aarhus, champions of Denmark, produced the comeback of the evening away to Lech Poznan. Beaten 4-1 at home, they won 4-1 after extra time then held their nerve to take the shootout 4-3.
