FR12 are reporting that Feyenoord are hoping to bring former Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson back to the club. The 26-year-old is available on a free transfer after agreeing to terminate his contract with Arsenal and could be set for a return to Rotterdam where he had previously spent time on loan.

Nelson came through the Arsenal academy and made his debut for the club during the 2017/2018 season, playing 16 games. The following year he embarked on one of his many loan moves, joining Bundesliga side Hoffenheim. In 29 games for the side he scored seven goals. Nelson returned to Arsenal for the next two seasons, but only played just over 30 games with three goals and three assists. During the 2021/2022 season he joined Feyenoord and had an excellent campaign in the Eredivisie. Over the course of 32 games, Nelson scored four goals and provided seven assists.

Nelson returned to Arsenal to try and become a first team regular, but for the next two seasons he once again had limited opportunities. During the 2024/2025 season he joined Fulham on loan but only managed 12 appearances, with two goals and one assist. Last season he joined Brentford on loan, scoring one goal and providing two assists in 14 games.

A return to Feyenoord would be a great move for Nelson, given that it is where he had the best season on his career.
