FLW's Sheffield Wednesday Fan Pundit has reacted to the news of James Bord's proposed takeover collapsing.
Sheffield Wednesday are on the lookout for a new preferred bidder after James Bord's proposed takeover of the club fell through on Wednesday, just days after relegation to League One was confirmed for the South Yorkshire outfit.
The Owls have been in administration since October, following Dejphon Chansiri's departure, and questions were starting to be asked as to when Bord would finally be confirmed as the new owner of the Championship's bottom side.
However, the consortium that was led by the former professional poker player pulled out of the deal and has lost £4m since December, with a non-refundable deposit of £2.5m just a part of the package that they have spent out on in the last two months.
Now, Sheffield Wednesday fans are looking for answers from the club's administrators, as well as Bord himself as to how they have once again been left in limbo, despite it looking as though the saga was finally drawing to a close.
It's been a really difficult year for the Owls, and this latest update is one that will bring a range of emotions to those in the stands, on the pitch and in the dugout at Hillsborough.

Football League World's Sheffield Wednesday Fan Pundit, Patrick McKenna, has spoken out on the news of Bord's consortium pulling out of the deal. He said: "I suppose the main feeling from it is anger. I had been willing all along to give them the benefit of the doubt. They had put forward the money and had won the preferred better status.
"So, I felt it was fair that they got to go through the checks and know get patience from the fan base to get it done and that they should be able to do this without a lot of negativity.
"But they have really let us down. There's no way they think that the fan base will swallow this notion that suddenly they think the value of the club doesn't match what they're going to pay. It’s absolute rubbish."
Patrick continued: "It's obvious that they're going to have issues with passing this EFL test, and now they're making some laughable excuse as to why they are suddenly pulling out. They're trying to put this sincerity to their statements, and it's amazing now that James Bord in a number of months has now made himself very unpopular with fans of both Sheffield clubs.
"I'll give him that. It's quite an achievement to do so. I know he has put in £4m to cover losses, but it seems a really strange thing to do if you kind of knew your bid wasn't going through. So yeah, I'm glad they're not getting their money back and good riddance to them."
Administration has left Sheffield Wednesday sitting in an extremely precarious position, and there will be a huge amount of anger directed at those involved in the failed takeover with the club back to square one.

Ultimately, it is the supporters and staff who pay the ultimate price when situations like this occur, and with nothing to play for on the pitch, it is the situation off it that has the full attention of all those involved in S6 right now.
This has already been a long-drawn-out process for the Owls, and they are in dire need of a resolution as soon as possible. However, this could be a blessing in disguise for Sheffield Wednesday, as Bord may not have been the right man for the job at Hillsborough.
