The 2025 FIFA Arab Cup will be held in Qatar from December 1 to 18, 2025. While it may be considered a “second-tier” competition, it could serve as a springboard to the senior national team for some players.

Indeed, Tunisia plans to field an A’ team for this tournament, which coincides with the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco (December 21, 2025 – January 18, 2026).

During the last training camp, a squad made up of domestic players, along with expatriates not selected for the senior team, faced Egypt twice in friendlies.

Mohamed Dräger, Anis Doublal, Amine Cherni, Louay Trayi, Nacim Dendani, and Fares Bousnina were all called up, opening the door to the senior squad.

Other players not currently in Sami Trabelsi’s plans—at least for now—could also feature in the competition, such as Nader Ghandri, Omar Rekik, Rami Kaib, Mootaz Neffati, and Fourat Soltani.

It’s worth recalling that Tunisia reached the final of the last edition, held in Qatar alongside the 2022 World Cup, before falling to Algeria.
