The Jordan Football Association has received the Arab Cup prize money owed by FIFA, the federation’s president Prince Ali ben Al Hussein said in a post on X on Thursday.
The funds arrived suddenly on Thursday morning and were described as eight months overdue.
He called it a positive step for players, while reiterating concerns about FIFA’s leadership and his stance of not supporting or voting for president Infantino.
The federation chief had raised the issue on Tuesday, highlighting unpaid bonuses despite Jordan reaching the Arab Cup final in Qatar in December last year.
He had also alleged blackmail, saying he was told verbally during the World Cup that backing Infantino would greatly help the federation.
FIFA has faced turmoil after an aborted plan to sell World Cup stakes, and this payment closes one dispute with Jordan.
