Filipe Luís said he is rotating Flamengo’s side to manage fitness after the 3-0 win over Madureira on Sunday 22.

According to Coluna Do Fla, he declined to reveal who will start on Thursday, noting that Paquetá, Pulgar, Arrascaeta, both Léos and Varela were not fully recovered and therefore at risk of injury.

He explained that he gave minutes to players he felt carried less risk, while Erick was not in condition to feature. He would prefer to repeat the team for rhythm, but wants them fresh enough to handle 90 minutes.

Flamengo currently have two players in the medical department. Jorginho is recovering from a left thigh muscle injury, and Bruno Henrique had pubic pain that kept him out against Madureira.

Lanús won the first leg of the Recopa Sul-Americana 1-0 on Thursday 19. Flamengo must win at the Maracanã to claim the title, and if they prevail by one goal the trophy will be decided on penalties. The return is on Thursday 26 at 21:30 Brasília time.
