Fiorentina in talks to sign Joshua Zirkzee on loan

Fiorentina are stepping up talks to sign Joshua Zirkzee from Manchester United on an initial loan.

The Dutch forward has frequently been linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer with a return to Serie A often rumoured.

Indeed, the 25-year-old previously impressed in Italy, having been signed by United after a standout 2023/24 campaign with Bologna.

Now according to various reports out of Italy, it is Fiorentina who are closest to signing Zirkzee. I Viola are said to be offering United €5 million to loan the player with a purchase clause also inserted.

Zirkzee has played 75 times since joining United, scoring nine goals and making three assists. He was also left on the bench for the opening day defeat away to Hull City last time out.
