First professional deals for Idrissa Soukouna and Yacouba Koné at Troyes | OneFootball

Troyes have handed first professional contracts to Idrissa Soukouna, 18, and Yacouba Koné, 19, announced on Monday, with deals running to 2029. The club said in a statement that the pair will continue their development with the side.

Promoted after winning Ligue 2, Troyes have brought both players into Stéphane Dumont’s squad during pre-season.

Soukouna, an attacking midfielder at the club since 2015 after playing for Épinay, turned 18 on Monday and impressed for the U19s last season. He drew interest from several teams, and after stepping up for pre-season he scored in a 5-2 friendly against Goal FC on 31 July.

Koné, a centre forward, has been in the Aube only a few months. He arrived in winter from Leader Foot Académie in Côte d’Ivoire, then joined the senior group for pre-season after six months with the U19s and the reserves.

Used frequently amid the absence of a new signing in attack, Koné scored three times in the club’s friendlies. The announcement reflects Troyes’ continued trust in youth.
