Flamengo fans pick Vitão and Danilo as centre-back pairing to face Madureira

With Léo Pereira ruled out, Flamengo fans have backed Vitão and Danilo as the ideal centre-back pairing to face Madureira.

According to Coluna Do Fla, 220 Flamengo supporters voted in a poll on Saturday. Of those, 158 chose Danilo and Vitão, 71%. The Léo Ortiz and Danilo option finished on only 12%.

Against Lanús, Flamengo started with Léo Pereira and Danilo. Pereira suffered severe cramps late on and struggled to stay on his feet. Léo Ortiz featured in extra time, while Vitão remained on the bench.

For Madureira, head coach Filipe Luís must pick two from the three centre-backs available. As he did not play against Lanús, Vitão is less fatigued, which could increase his chances of starting.

The second leg of the Campeonato Carioca semi-final is scheduled for Monday, 02, at the Maracanã, with kick-off at 21:00 Brasília time.
