According to Globo.com, Flamengo have rejected a Parma bid for 19-year-old centre-back João Victor worth 10 million euros fixed, plus 2 million in bonuses and a 10% sell-on clause.
The decision reflects president Luiz Eduardo Baptista, known as Bap, backing the youngster for the first team or for a future sale at a higher fee.
Flamengo had already rejected an 8 million euros offer from Ajax at the end of 2025, at a time when he was questioned for poor displays in limited first-team chances, and more recently 10 million euros from Grupo City.
He started all three matches during Leonardo Jardim’s team’s recent trip to Portugal and drew positive reviews.
An academy graduate, João Victor has made 14 senior appearances and will captain Brazil Under-20 at the South American Championship in January 2027, in pursuit of a place at the age-group World Cup.
