Flamengo reveal Urubu de Lima as Manto da Nação winner, limited edition on sale | OneFootball

Flamengo have announced the winner of their Manto da Nação fan-design campaign, with Urubu de Lima by Marcelo Gluz selected in a public vote. The shirt is on sale now in standard and rubro-negra versions, each priced at R$ 299,99.

According to Globo.com, the design topped a ballot of 101,203 unique votes cast from more than 120 countries, earning 16.2% of the total. It is a limited edition available to order for one week only or while stocks last.

A launch promotion runs until the end of Wednesday’s match against Mirassol at the Maracanã, 19:30 Brasília time. Buyers who pick up two or more shirts receive 20% off.

Gluz will receive R$ 10,000 and a shirt featuring his own artwork. The other nine finalists will also be given one unit of the winning edition.

The club is seeking Guinness World Records recognition for the initiative, which is undergoing validation as a record for fan participation in the creation and selection of a sports shirt.

Curators shortlisted the finalists from more than 8,000 submissions sent by supporters from every Brazilian state. Voting remained open until 30 August.
