Flamengo to discover Libertadores quarter-final opponent next Tuesday after Tolima tie delay | OneFootball

Flamengo beat Cruzeiro 2-1 on Wednesday 19 to reach the Copa Libertadores quarter-finals, but their opponent will only be decided on Tuesday 25. They are the only team still waiting to learn who they will face.

According to Coluna Do Fla, Tolima v Independiente del Valle was pushed back after a magnitude 7.4 earthquake in Colombia that caused about 280 deaths.

The first leg, initially set for 11 August, was played on Tuesday 18, when Tolima lost 1-0 at home.

The return is scheduled for Tuesday 25 in Ecuador. Tolima must win by at least two goals to advance and meet Flamengo.

The other quarter-finals are already set, Estudiantes v Corinthians, Palmeiras v LDU, and Fluminense v Platense.

CONMEBOL will confirm exact dates and kick-off times, with first legs between 8 and 10 September and returns from 15 to 17.

Before then, Flamengo visit Cruzeiro in the Brasileiro’s 24th round at the Mineirão in Belo Horizonte on Saturday 22 at 20:30 Brasília time.
