Flamengo view Anthony Valencia’s start as part of adaptation process | OneFootball

Anthony Valencia, Flamengo’s first signing of the last window, has featured only once since arriving. The club view this as a natural adaptation, with Leonardo Jardim easing him in.

GE reports that fierce competition has slowed his settling, with Plata, Carrascal, Luiz Araújo and Lucas Paquetá all contesting attacking roles.

The 23-year-old has signed until 2031 and wears number 14. Flamengo paid 5 million euros, roughly R$ 30.08 million, and Royal Antwerp retained 15 per cent of any future sale by Flamengo.
