Flamengo have made Luiz Henrique their latest target this window and would like him available for the Libertadores round of 16 against Cruzeiro.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the club are not concerned by Conmebol’s registration cut-off and will remain focused on signing the forward even if he cannot be registered in time.
Clubs have until 18:00 Brasília time on Friday 7 to submit their squads, and the regulations allow five changes for this phase.
Flamengo’s offer is around 30 million euros (R$ 177 million), though agreement with Zenit (RUS) is still needed on the payment structure.
At that price, Luiz Henrique would become Flamengo’s second most expensive signing, behind Lucas Paquetá, who cost R$ 315.6 million at the start of 2026.
The winger was close to joining Flamengo at the end of 2023 after talks with Real Betis (ESP), but John Textor intervened and took him to Botafogo.
He is back in the frame this window. Thiago Almada had been plan A, but negotiations advanced with the Zenit forward after the midfielder preferred River Plate (ARG).
Luiz Henrique was a leading figure for Brazil in the pre-World Cup period, though he did not sustain that level at the tournament. He could lift Flamengo’s squad, but the club must stay mindful of the total outlay to avoid affecting their finances.
