Fluminense and Corinthians ‘to enquire’ about Cebolinha as Flamengo salary blocks deal | OneFootball

Everton Cebolinha will not remain at Flamengo beyond this season. With his deal running to December 2026, he can now sign a pre-contract and the club are open to a sale to avoid losing him for free.

GE reports that Fluminense and Corinthians have explored a move, but both viewed his salary as too high. Attempts to lower his terms were unsuccessful.

Cebolinha earns about R$ 1.2 million per month. He joined in June 2022 from Benfica for around €14 million, R$ 88 million at the time.

During Flamengo’s mid-season camp, he said his cycle is ending, that he was happy at the club and wants a new challenge. He added he intends to stay until the end of the year and hopes to finish with a trophy.

Since arriving, he has played 191 games, scoring 21 and assisting 25. With him available, Flamengo face Vitória at 19:30 on Sunday 9 August at the Maracanã in the Brasileirão, round 22.
