AS Monaco could welcome back two new faces when they face RC Lens on Friday night, as per a report from L’Équipe.

The Principality club suffered two blows during the draw to RC Strasbourg Alsace over the weekend. Filipe Luís lost Anis Soubeir to an ankle injury early on. The academy product is set to miss three weeks of action. However, Stanis Idumbo didn’t come through the game unscathed either. L’Équipe understands that a psoas issue makes him a doubt to face Les Sang et Or.

In better news for Monaco, Ansu Fati and Folarin Balogun could return. Neither has played a single minute for Les Monégasques this season. Fati suffered an injury in pre-season, whilst Balogun played with a minor knee issue during the FIFA World Cup. He has since been building up his fitness. Luís suggested that the USMNT forward may only be operational after the international break, however, his return could come sooner than expected.
